This year's Sandy Beach Bodysurfing Championship should be renamed 2008 Sandy Beach BodySLAMMING Championships. Surf with 3 to 7 ft faces launched riders into fist-sized, rolling cobblestones and football-sized coral blocks brought off the ocean's bottom by surging,retracing,cross-peaking southern swells.
A lot of torn jerseys and bloodied body parts were had by many.
