1st High Advisory of the 2008 Season : A much anticipated High Surf Advisory South swell arrived midweek,peaking before the weekend.The lucky riders able to dodge the normal work week were rewarded with prime wave selection.Still,there was a large group of bodysurfers in the early morning hours waters hoping to ride the 4 to 8ft wave faces .Overcast skies,variable easterly winds,and an all-day low tide made for challenging conditions. There are not too many still photos in this folder as video was used as the main record keeping. Aloha, Doug

June Swells : Antarctic storms are lining up below Australia poised to send swells to the Americas and the Hawaiian Islands.Forecast have already confirmed distinct swell movement favorable to Hawaii's south shores.There are two breaking swells and another two forecast to arrive within the next two weeks. Hopefully these are the beginning swells of many more to follow. Lookin' good!!! Doug

Point Panic Sept Swells : Best swell of 2008.Without a doubt this is the best swell to hit O'ahus South Shore in four years.Excellent water and weather conditions with very good sized 10ft plus wave faces.A few bodies were introduced or re-acquainted with Point Panic's wave-hardened coral reef but there were no (knock-on-wood) serious human injuries.
